40-foot new high-cube container

The 40-foot high-cube container is a spacious storage solution for larger projects that require both extra length and extra height. It is often used by companies with large storage needs or bulky goods.

Typical Applications

This container is often used for:

  • Large warehouse and inventory
  • building materials
  • machinery and equipment
  • Export and logistics
  • online store and e-commerce
  • seasonal goods
  • large-scale moving projects

That’s why many people choose a 40-foot high-cube container

The extra height provides more volume and allows for more efficient use of space.

This container is often chosen when:

  • storage needs are high
  • the goods are tall
  • you want fewer containers with greater capacity
  • you’re working with pallets or tall racking systems

For many companies, this means a better overview and more storage capacity all in one place.

Customization options

The container can be customized with, among other things:

  • Electricity and Lighting
  • Ventilation
  • Heating
  • Shelving
  • Workbench
  • Lock bar
  • Specialty paint
  • Insulation
  • Flooring
  • Door section behind the container door
  • Heat Pump
  • Floor drains and water supply
  • Windows and doors

Practical Information

The container requires a stable and level surface.

It is also important to ensure:

  • good access for the truck
  • space for delivery and placement
  • clearance for the container’s extra height

If you have any questions about size or placement, we’re happy to provide advice before delivery.

Delivery

To ensure a smooth delivery, there are a few things you should check before, during, and after receiving the container. This helps avoid problems with placement, access, and quality.

Before delivery

Ensure a stable surface

The container must be placed on a level and stable surface. This could be, for example:

  • tiles under the corners
  • steel plates
  • concrete
  • other solid surfaces

If you have any questions about shimming or the surface, we’re happy to provide guidance.

Ensure access for delivery

You must make sure that the truck can get through and unload the container.

Please pay special attention to:

  • fences
  • shrubs and trees
  • cars
  • trailers
  • narrow passages
  • soft ground

If there are any conditions that might make delivery difficult, please let us know before delivery.

Standard delivery

Standard delivery is by crane and includes:

  • reading up to 4 meters from the curb
  • up to 15 minutes of reading time
  • You will be called either when the container is loaded or approximately 1 hour before delivery.

If the container needs to be lifted longer than 4 meters, or if delivery is expected to take extra time, this must be stated before the order confirmation. Otherwise, additional costs may arise, for example, extra time or wasted driving.

Location on public road

If the container is to be placed on a public road, sidewalk or similar, it is your responsibility to obtain permission from the municipality before delivery.

Upon delivery

Inspect the container before unloading

We recommend that you or someone you trust be present when the container is delivered to inspect the shipment.

Before the container is lifted by the crane truck, you should verify that the quality matches what you ordered.

Walk around the container and check for:

  • large dents
  • visible holes
  • major damage
  • conditions that do not match the agreed-upon quality

Check that the doors work

Once the container is in place, make sure the doors open and close completely.

If the container isn’t level, the doors may stick. This is especially true for 40-foot containers.

Check that the container is airtight

Go inside the container and close the doors.

If no light comes in through cracks or holes, the container is airtight.

Contact us immediately if you encounter any problems

If you believe the container has any defects or is missing parts, contact CHS Container right away, before the crane truck leaves the address.

After delivery

Changes to the container

The container must not be painted, modified, or altered until it has been paid for in full.

When renting a container, you may not modify it without our prior consent.

If the container is modified without authorization, you may be charged for the cost of restoring it to its original condition.

When returning a rental container

When a rental container is returned, it must be:

  • emptied
  • cleaned on the inside
  • in generally good condition

If you have rented a lock from us, all keys and key cards must be returned along with the lock.

  • Workshops and special projects
  • Export and international transport

A One Way container typically has:

  • Very few signs of wear
  • Minimal surface rust
  • Intact corners and panels
  • A floor and interior surfaces that are almost new
  • A long expected service life with limited maintenance

The container is CSC-approved and ready for ocean freight.
