Container delivery
Guide to receiving
containers
This is our guide to container receiving. It is very important that you check all the points mentioned here at the time of receiving the container.
Before receiving and accepting the container, review the following to ensure a good and flawless delivery
-
Before delivery, make sure you have a stable and level surface where the container will be placed. Here you can lay tiles for each corner, plates or something else. If you have any questions regarding chocking, please contact us.
-
Make sure there is enough space for the truck to unload, inform about conditions that may be problematic or that need to be taken into account. This could be a fence, bushes or similar. Also, make sure to move cars, trailers and anything else that gets in the way of the delivery.
-
Standard delivery involves delivery with a crane truck that lifts a maximum of 4 meters from the curb, allowing 15 minutes for unloading. If the location requires a lift over 4 meters or extra time in connection with delivery, it is the buyer/tenant’s responsibility to notify this before order confirmation, so that there are no extra expenses related to wasted driving, which will be charged by the seller.
-
If the container is placed on a public road, it is the buyer/tenant’s responsibility to obtain permission from the relevant municipality before delivery.
Upon delivery, you must ensure the following
5. Before removing the container from the tow truck, please check that the container quality matches your order. Walk around the truck and check for large dents, visible holes or other major damage that does not match the purchased condition.
6. Once the container is unloaded and stable, open the container to make sure it can be opened fully and closed completely. If it is not level, the doors will bind when opened.
7. Enter the container and close the doors. Make sure there is no light coming in from cracks or small holes. If it’s completely dark inside the container, you are sure that the container is sealed.
8.If you believe there are quality defects, you must contact CHS Container immediately before the tow truck has left the site.
After delivery
9. As we retain ownership of the container until it has been paid for, it is a requirement from the seller that the buyer does not paint it, make modifications or other changes. If this happens anyway, the buyer must pay for it to be returned in its original condition upon return.
10. If you have rented the container from us and it needs to be returned, please make sure that it is neat and clean inside, and if you have rented a lock, please make sure that all keys and key cards are returned.
