Can a small container be used as a shed?
Yes, small containers are often used as lockable storage units for bicycles, garden tools, other tools, and materials. Placing them on public roads or in areas with special regulations may require a permit.
How is a small container delivered?
Delivery is usually made by a crane truck. There must be unobstructed access, space for the truck and crane, and a level, stable surface at the location where the container will be placed. See our delivery guide for more details.
Small containers for the space you actually have
6, 8, or 10 feet?
A 6-foot container is the most compact and is suitable for smaller quantities of tools, materials, or equipment. An 8-foot model is about the same length as the width of a standard container. A 10-foot model provides more storage space but is still significantly shorter than a 20-foot container.
Your choice should be based on both what you want to store and the space around the container. The doors require clear space in front of them, and you need to be able to access the contents on a daily basis.
