Size and Typical Applications
A 20-foot shipping container is approximately 6.06 meters long. It is used for storage at businesses and construction sites, as well as for storage during moves and renovations. Measure larger items and the door opening before choosing a model.
New, Premium, or Cargo Worthy
A new one-way container has typically completed one shipment to Europe and may show minor signs of handling. “Premium” refers to used containers that have been selected for their better condition. “Cargo Worthy” is a functional classification and may have dents, repairs, and surface rust. CHS Container does not carry containers that meet the lower WWT (Wind and Watertight) or AsIs (As Is) standards. The few kroner you might save by choosing a lower standard than “Cargo Worthy” are rarely worth it compared to the problems that come with the shorter lifespan and lower durability.
Price and Shipping
The price of a 20-foot container depends on its condition, model, and availability. Shipping costs are calculated based on the depot, delivery address, and access. A low price for the container itself does not necessarily mean the lowest total price if the shipping distance is long.
Location and Substrate
The container must be level and stable so that the frame does not warp and the doors can function properly. There must be unobstructed access for trucks and cranes, as well as enough space to open the doors.
