Excellent condition and insulation—buy or rent
New insulated containers
For long-term storage with fewer temperature fluctuations
Do you need a sturdy, insulated container that will last for many years? A new insulated container combines minimal exterior wear with insulation that mitigates the effects of the weather.
Choose from 8-, 10-, 20-, and 40-foot sizes depending on your space requirements and delivery location. The container can be equipped as needed with features such as electricity, lighting, ventilation, or heating.
The insulation does not regulate the temperature, but it minimizes fluctuations and reduces the impact of sudden weather changes. We can help you determine whether passive insulation is sufficient for what you plan to store.
If you want active temperature control from -25°C to +30°C, you should choose a reefer or refrigerated and frozen container.

New container offers a service life of 20+ years
Start with as little wear as possible
A new insulated container is suitable for permanent and visible locations where both appearance and expected remaining service life are important. The vast majority of customers choose to have a new container insulated rather than purchasing a used insulated one.
Plan the installations from the start
Insulation doesn't solve every problem
Electricity, lighting, ventilation, and heating should be addressed before you buy it if the container is to be used for anything other than simple storage.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is a new insulated container unused?
The term “new” refers to the container’s quality category. It is also called a “One Way” because it has only been shipped once from the factory.
Other categories include, for example, “premium” and “cargo worthy.”
The insulation is made to order, so it is new and unused.
Can a new insulated container keep the frost out?
The insulation slows down temperature changes but does not guarantee frost-free storage. If the temperature needs to be kept above or below a certain level, a heat source and possibly a thermostat may be required.
If you need active temperature control from -25°C to +30°C, you’ll need a reefer or refrigerated and freezer container.
Can I get electricity and lighting in the container?
Yes, an insulated container can be customized with features such as electricity and lighting. Doors, windows, and other features can also be added. The scope, location, and intended use must be agreed upon before placing an order to ensure the installation meets your needs.
New Insulated Containers for Longer-Term Use
A Good Starting Point
A new insulated container is often chosen when it’s meant to remain in place for a long time or be placed in a visible location at a business or residence. The limited wear and tear provides a better starting point for painting, signage, and other customizations than an older, used container.
The insulated construction reduces how quickly the temperature inside the container is affected by the weather outside. This can provide better conditions for many types of materials and furnishings.
What the insulation does not do
The container does not automatically remain frost-free or cool in the summer. Insulation is passive. If the contents require a constant temperature or specific humidity, the solution must be supplemented with heating, ventilation, dehumidification, or cooling.
From 8 to 40 feet
An 8- or 10-foot container can be used as a compact, insulated storage unit. A 20-foot model meets many common needs, while a 40-foot model offers much greater capacity. Measure the contents, the door opening, and the available space before making your selection.
Buy or Rent
Buying is typically suitable for long-term use and customizations. Renting may be appropriate for a limited-time project, provided the desired model is available. CHS Container can provide information on current options and typically deliver within 2–4 business days from four depots in Denmark.
